I received my HP PSC 500 3-in-1 printer used from a friend. I wasn't expecting much since it was free and most printers I've had last a year, if that. I have now had this printer for five years and have been absolutely delighted with it! The color copying feature is by far my favorite feature as it makes remarkable copies. The black & white and color printing turns out great every time with no smearing or smudging whatsoever. Over the past few years, I've scanned hundreds of photos to use in power point presentations and each scan turns out perfectly. I have never had a paper jam or any other problems with this 3-in-1 and this has turned out to be a real gem.The only downsides to this printer, if there are any, would be that it is a large printer. This isn't a problem for me since it sits on top of a 2-drawer filing cabinet, but if space is an issue, you'll need to take this into account. The other downside is the price of replace ink cartridges, especially the color cartridge. This should not be a deterrent in purchasing this printer as the cost of ink for this is about the same as it is for all printers of this caliber and certainly far less than toner cartridges for laser printers. I am always amazed at how long my ink cartridges last in this printer--far longer than any other inkjet printer I've owned.This is a fantastic printer and I highly recommend it!
